GAB Sequel: Crafting Our Stories

“GAB Sequel: Crafting Our Stories” builds upon the experience of writing life stories from the initial Guided Autobiography Workshop which is a prerequisite. The focus of this class is to further develop skills to engage the reader and heighten the appeal of one’s stories. Participants will work individually and together, using new or existing GAB writings to:
• Create a story form
• Blend three distinct narrative modes: summary, scene, and musing.
• Write scenes and know when to use a scene
• Develop an empathetic narrator and other characters
• Craft an engaging first sentence and first page
